Under this project HEALTHO trained 90 women in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training in Kabul. Each trainee attended five months’ classes. The training course covered both practical and theoretical teachings.
Job Placement was an essential component of the project. HEALTHO also provided training to the graduates on interview skills and techniques, and provided placement counseling services. The HEALTHO Job Placement Officer explored job placement opportunities for graduates of the training and as a result 70% of the graduates were placed in better jobs.
